Innovating Education with Artificial Intelligence: Entering the Era of Empathy in Education through Design Thinking

On the second day of our project, we took an in-depth look at the innovative educational methodology of Design Thinking as a pervasive learning approach. The main focus of the day was to analyze the challenges educators face when using AI tools and identify their guidance needs through the "Empathize" and "Define" stages of the Design Thinking process.

Youth workers participated in interactive workshops under the guidance of the project coordinator. Working in international groups, participants explored the barriers that prevent educators from making effective use of artificial intelligence despite being aware of its potential.

Focusing on findings revealed through previous literature reviews, participants examined the gap between awareness and practical implementation of AI in education. Through collaborative discussions and problem-mapping activities, they identified key obstacles within educational systems and developed a shared international perspective on how these challenges can be addressed through innovative approaches.
