Innovating Education with Artificial Intelligence Project Implemented in Córdoba
Updated: Aug 6

The Erasmus+ KA153 Mobility of Youth Workers project "Innovating Education with Artificial Intelligence" was held in Córdoba, Spain, between 9 and 15 May 2026, bringing together youth workers and educators from different countries to develop innovative approaches to the use of artificial intelligence in education. Coordinated by VERA Innovación Tecnológica.
Within the framework of project 2025-3-ES02-KA153-YOU-000369501, participants had the opportunity to explore the knowledge, skills, and methodologies needed to use artificial intelligence technologies more effectively and consciously in educational settings. Research conducted during the preparation phase of the project, as well as interviews with educators, revealed that while many educators are aware of the potential of AI tools, significant gaps remain in their effective use. One of the main reasons identified was the limited integration of artificial intelligence applications into existing education systems.
In response to these needs, the project was designed to support educators and youth workers in developing a solid understanding of AI concepts, improving their technical competencies, and learning how to effectively integrate AI applications into educational processes. Throughout the project, participants gained theoretical knowledge about AI tools developed for educational purposes while also exploring practical ways to apply these technologies in learning environments.
The Design Thinking methodology was adopted as the main learning approach, encouraging participants to strengthen their problem-solving, creativity, and innovation skills. Through interactive workshops and collaborative activities, youth workers and educators developed strategies for adapting AI-supported educational practices to their own professional contexts.
This international cooperation and intercultural learning environment enabled participants not only to enhance their digital and technological competencies but also to exchange experiences and best practices related to education and youth work in different countries.
By addressing the transformative potential of artificial intelligence from a youth work perspective, the "Innovating Education with Artificial Intelligence" project contributed to strengthening the capacity of educators and youth workers to actively participate in the ongoing digital transformation of education. The knowledge, experiences, and good practices developed throughout the project are expected to be disseminated through the partner organizations, supporting the wider adoption of innovative educational approaches and AI-enhanced learning methods across Europe.
